Introduction
Welcome to WPCanvaSync (the “Service”), which connects your Canva account with one or more WordPress websites for the purpose of securely transferring design assets such as images and videos.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use:
The WPCanvaSync Canva App (the “Canva App”), and
The WPCanvaSync WordPress Plugin (the “Plugin”), and
The WPCanvaSync Controller Website (this website).
By using WPCanvaSync, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We use the information solely to:
-
Authenticate the connection between your Canva account and your WordPress sites.
-
Enable the transfer of design assets (images/videos) from Canva to your WordPress Media Library.
-
Manage your plan limits (e.g., number of connected sites based on subscription).
-
Maintain service functionality and security.
We do not use your data for marketing, analytics, or advertising purposes.
How We Use the Information
a. From the Canva App
When you install and connect the WPCanvaSync Canva App, we collect and store the following limited information:
-
Canva User ID (a unique identifier provided by Canva’s API).
-
Authentication Token generated by your WordPress site using the WPCanvaSync Plugin.
-
Subscription Tier (Free or Premium plan).
We do not collect or store:
-
Usernames, email addresses, passwords, or profile information.
-
Location data or any other personal identifiers.
b. From the WordPress Plugin
When the Plugin is installed on your WordPress site:
-
The user can generate a secure token containing an encoded version of the site’s URL.
-
This token is stored in the WPCanvaSync Controller Database to link your Canva account with your WordPress site.
The Plugin does not collect any user data, credentials, or media content beyond what is required for the token verification and upload process.
c. From the Controller Website
When you use wpcanvasync.com:
-
We may collect minimal account details required to manage subscriptions and site connections (e.g., encrypted token data and Canva user ID).
-
No personal data such as emails, addresses, or payment details are stored directly on our servers.
-
NOTE: For support requests or general inquiries submitted through our contact or support forms, we may ask for your name, email address, and relevant details solely for the purpose of communicating with you and resolving your issue.
-
-
Payment processing (for Premium plans) is handled by trusted third-party service, Stripe, following their own privacy and data protection policies.
Data Security
We implement multiple security measures to protect your data:
-
All communication between Canva App, WPCanvaSync Controller, and WordPress sites is encrypted via HTTPS.
-
Tokens are encoded and securely stored; URLs and identifiable site data are never exposed in plain text.
-
No media content or user data is permanently stored on our servers.
If a site connection is removed or a token is revoked, the token is immediately invalidated and cannot be reused.
Data Retention and Deletion
-
Tokens and site connection data are stored only as long as your Canva account remains connected to WPCanvaSync.
-
If you uninstall the WordPress Plugin, your associated token will be automatically deleted from our database. As a result, the Canva App will not be able to comminicate with your website anymore. -
You can request manual deletion of your stored data at any time by contacting our support team at support@wpcanvasync.com.
Third-Party Services
WPCanvaSync integrates with the following third-party platforms:
-
Canva – for authentication and design export functionality.
-
WordPress – for site-side plugin operations and media management.
-
Payment Providers (Stripe) – for managing subscriptions.
These services operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

You have the right to:
-
Request access to the limited data stored about your account.
-
